- Same Place, Different Times (Diachronic): Multiple occurrences happen at an identical spatial coordinate, but are separated by intervals of time (e.g., historical layers in archaeology, returning to the exact same room years later).
- Same Time, Different Places (Synchronic): Multiple occurrences happen at the exact same moment, but are separated by spatial distance (e.g., simultaneous global events, the relativity of simultaneity in physics).
- Different Time, Different Places: Multiple occurrences are completely independent events separated across both dimensions of time and space.
