SOP PROSEDUR WAJIB aka WAJIB PROSEDUR What is HSSE?
HSSE stands for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment. It is a corporate framework and department used to protect workers, assets, and the planet.
What the Four Pillars Mean
- Health: Preventing work-related illnesses and keeping workers physically and mentally well.
- Safety: Stopping workplace accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
- Security: Protecting the site, workers, and data from crime, unauthorized entry, or emergencies.
- Environment: Reducing pollution, managing waste, and conserving natural resources.
Where HSSE is Used
- High-Risk Industries: Common in oil, gas, energy, manufacturing, and construction.
- Company Policy: Used to create rules, run safety audits, and train staff.
- Contracts: Added to business agreements to make sure outside contractors follow safety rules.

OPERATIONAL SAFETY
HSSE Protocol in Isolation Condition
In isolated sites or emergency situations, applying the Health, Safety, Security, Environment (HSSE) framework ensures survival, prevents fatal risks, and establishes a structured path for extraction.
1. Health
- Thermal & Hydration Control: Prevent hypothermia and severe dehydration; prioritize immediate water filtration and body temperature regulation.
- Field First Aid: Prioritize hemorrhage control and immobilize fractures before engaging in physical labor.
- Sanitation Management: Maintain camp hygiene to prevent waterborne infections and illness.
2. Safety
- Site Risk Assessment: Position the emergency shelter clear of rockfalls, dead trees, flash flood channels, or unstable structures.
- PPE Utilization: Wear available Personal Protective Equipment (helmets, work gloves, safety boots) during signal fabrication and clearance tasks.
- Controlled Signaling: Manage signal fires strictly to prevent uncontrolled wildfires or toxic smoke inhalation.
3. Security
- Ration & Asset Protection: Secure food stocks and critical gear against extreme weather and local wildlife.
- Equipment Accessibility: Stash active signaling tools (whistle, mirror, flares) at a fixed, zero-latency reach point.
- Perimeter Observation: Maintain a high-vis watchpoint to track weather shifts and inbound Search & Rescue (SAR) assets.
4. Environment
- Terrain Evaluation: Assess wind direction, canopy coverage, and local tides to optimize active smoke and visual signal trajectory.
- Resource Preservation: Prevent contamination of primary freshwater sources by isolating biological waste downstream.
Immediate Operational Execution
- S.T.O.P. Protocol: Stop, Think, Observe, Plan. Assess immediate health and security hazards before moving.
- Secure the Zone: Establish the shelter and signaling base within an environmentally safe perimeter.
- Deploy Emergency Markers: Lay out high-contrast passive markers (X or SOS) immediately, keeping active signals (smoke/whistle/mirror) on standby.
