If extracting the WinRAR file fails & error notifications appear, such as:

  • Checksum error
  • Error diagnostic messages
  • Unexpected end of archive
  • Damaged file
  • Archive corrupt

This happens because the default WinRAR version you have is old/obsolete/expired.

Solution:

  1. Uninstall the old WinRAR.
  2. Download and install the latest WinRAR.
  3. Extract the files again.
